I liked this book! Now, I will say that I rate books quite stingily before I say anything else. I bought this book at Comicpalooza some time back, but never found myself picking this book up due to a huge TBR list, so it has been a while. I really thought the concept is great, and definitely will keep reading to see how the story pans out. I think my favorite character is Leigh, as she is absolutely evil and wicked in a way that is sultry.

My complaint might seem weird, and I have had some time to ponder on this as I also listened to the Audible through kindle/amazon. I feel like the story moved a little quickly (character emotions) and while I liked the story, I wanted a few details filled out. I look forward to the next book as it might fill in a few details that I am looking for, and I can see how the King handles his new situation.

The poor dude can't catch a break!

Good book ended before I wanted it to I hated the selfishness of the sister Wtf she is suppose to be hundreds of years old but acts like a 14 year old but I liked the other characters alot Nicole can suck it though
I was given a copy of this audiobook in exchanged for an honest review. I got the kindle version nearly 4 years ago, after having met the author at a signing. My schedule wasn't working for ebook reading, but I promised the author I'd write her an audio review if she provided me with a credit to get the book.

The thing is... I read it earlier this year and I've been waiting months to post this review. There's not a single other review on the audible page, and that just makes me feel awkward. But it's been almost a year since I was given the audiobook, so I couldn't really wait any longer.

If you are interested in this story I highly recommend you read the book. I kept up with my ebook version and read along as I was listening to the audio. Although I have my issues with the written version of this story, it's much easier to deal with than Sallie Downing's narration. She has very little emotion or expression and made the most dramatic parts of the story underwhelming. It was incredibly disappointing. Had I not already promised I'd review the audio, I'd have just stopped it and gone straight to the ebook.

I will say this about Blood Purple, it's got an interesting concept. I liked the beginning, it had a strong opening. It kept me wanting to continue the story, even during the many parts of incoherence and repetition. And I found the ending to just be downright awkward. I am debating finishing the series, but via ebook form. I will be avoiding any other audiobooks narrated by Sallie Downing.
I really loved this book. The flow is great with wonderful characters that Dr as w you in and make you want to learn more about them. A new and unique twist to your typical vampire romance and recommend it to anyone that likes paranormal romance.
What a grabbing tale Ashley Nemer has woven. I truly got wrapped up in Zayne and Nicole's individual stories as well as their combined as siblings history. The ending is well placed in the story, so much so that you want to immediately dive right into the next book!! I really have nothing negative to say, even the few (and I do mean few) editing errors do NOT take away from the book AT ALL!
I think the characters in this story are very strong. They really portray a strong family and people. I had a bit of a hard time remembering what the terms meant. Good story.
To think I almost didn't read this book because it was about 'vampires'! I turned down the book two years ago when it came out because I'm just not into vampire books. It fell into my lap this week and I thought I would at least start it, give it a chance. I'm SO glad I did! I started it late one evening and had to force myself to put it down to head to bed! I finished it in two sittings and I enjoyed it immensely. With the exception of a few scenes it does not hold out to be a 'vampire' book. Those scenes were not gory enough to turn me away. I enjoyed stepping into the book and traveling along with Nikole and her brother Zayne as they deal with life and the curves it throws at them! Left me wanting more!
I was unsure how I would like this novel at first, but quickly fell into the story line and characters. I wish I would have been able to delve a little deeper into a few characters and feel as though I was seeing from their eyes, but there were many perspectives present and u fortunately I never felt that closeness. Despite that I was hooked and enjoyed this novel. I hope to be able to read the others in the series in the future.
